Independent research has overwhelmingly concluded that OFSTED has become a failed institution.

OFSTED has two primary purposes:

• the inspection of schools to help maintain educational standards

• reporting to parents on the quality of schools to help them decide on the right school for their children

This website sets out some of the research and reports to us of OFTED's failings and its impact. It offers support for schools subject to the abusive and unsustainable stress of inspections. And it points to alternative inspection systems with a far better track record of achieving OFSTED's two primary objectives.
